Realizing Your Full Potential
Have you ever wondered what it means to “recognize your full #potential”? This is something we say often, but what does it really mean? At URxlent, we believe it means to be a life-long #learner and always working to become more of what you already are. It’s important that if you really want to reach your full potential, you realize it’s a journey, and one you should start immediately. Here are some suggestions of easy steps you might take to start you on your #journey
- Ask yourself, “What is it I really want to accomplish”? This should be in line with your values and your beliefs. What are you passionate about? What helps you to be positive and want to get up in the morning? Once you’ve thought about what you really want, what are the goals you would like to accomplish. In other words, what would you need to do in order to “know” you were on the path to becoming the highest version of yourself? In short, you are defining your #purpose. For example, from an early age I wanted to be a teacher. Throughout my career, I have discovered that my “classroom” has changed, but my desire to be a great teacher has remained the same. I believe it is what I was meant to be.
- There is a saying, “Failure to plan is planning to fail”, and this is true. While you don’t want to suffer from analysis paralysis, or #planning to the point that you aren’t willing to do anything or try out a new idea, you do need to have a plan in place to get from Point A (your current reality) to Point B (the next stop on your journey). It’s important to be strategic and thoughtful in your planning, and it is equally important that you execute on your plan, and know you can make corrections as necessary.
- Learn to manage your time. #Time is a great leveler. Every person, no matter their situation, has the same 24-hour day. We believe it is important to learn to manage your time—spending time on what is the most essential and important to your personal growth. We also believe it is important to implement time-saving strategies. For example, a time-saving strategy would be to open an email and respond to it, instead of putting it aside and having to come back to it. Opening an email only once is a time-saving measure.
- Have you ever started the day and had someone question whether or not you feel ill, and before you know it, you really don’t feel well? It is easy to have our outlook or attitude adjusted and altered by the world around us, especially by the people and challenges we encounter. Work hard to voice the #positive, and when a negative thought comes into your mind, instead of sending it out into the universe, write it down on a piece of paper, seal it in an envelope, and if you ever have time to deal with the negative thought, begin by asking yourself if it is the “truth” or just how you are feeling.
- Celebrate your accomplishments each and every day. Too often, we quickly move past the small accomplishments and victories which we experience each day. Did you choose an apple over a chip? #Celebrate! Did you get your car washed instead of driving it dirty one more day? Celebrate! Did you exercise today and elevate your heart rate? Celebrate! Taking just a minute to “stop and smell the roses” along your journey will make the trip much more enjoyable.
We each have seeds of greatness within us. It’s time to unleash the power of you!
