Achieving Excellence
In Jim Collins’ book “Good to Great”, the opening line is “Good is the enemy of great!” When working to achieve excellence, good really is the enemy. Good allows us to rest on our laurels, to think what we have accomplished is good enough, Think about it this way, if no one had improved on the telephone Alexander Graham Bell invented, we’d still need operators to plug us in so we could complete our call. There would be no smart phones. We’d need even more poles and wires strung everywhere. Communication would not be nearly as convenient as it is today. The same is true with excellence. To become excellent requires work, focus, intentional effort. At URxlent we work with individuals, teams, and leaders to ensure they are successful by building the capacity and competency of each person.
